Feast of Tabernacles

Our third annual Feast of Tabernacles celebration was a breathtaking evening of worship, liturgy, teaching, feasting, and fellowship among the apple orchards and mountain backdrop of the western slope of Colorado. We camped the weekend of September 14 and the weather couldn’t have been more beautiful. Activities involved apple picking, listening to live music, playing games, sitting around a fire, mountain biking, and hammock napping. Evan Wilking was our incredible chef for an amazing meal we shared together as a church family on a beautiful spread that included plenty of camping charm and character.

The Feast of Tabernacles, or Sukkot, is the third great annual pilgrimage festival when the Jewish people would gather together in Jerusalem to remember God’s provision in the Wilderness. Celebrating Sukkot involves many scripted activities, worship, liturgy, teaching, and our favorite part— FEASTING together. It was such a beautiful time of connection and fellowship, complete with the beauty of the western slope of Colorado. If you have a chance to join us for the Feast of Tabernacles next year, we’d LOVE to have you.
